How to Revoke Access to Your Fluss Device
This article explains how to revoke a user's access to one of your Fluss devices through the Fluss app.
Note: Only certain users can revoke access. For more info click here: Access Types
Step-by-Step Guide
- Open the Devices section
Select Devices in the bottom left corner of your Fluss app. - Select your device
Tap on the specific device you want to manage access for. - Go to the Users section
Select "Users" from the device options. - View the user list
In the Users section, you'll see a list displaying the status of each invitation, categorized as Active, Pending, or Expired. - Revoke access for a user
Simply select or tap on the user from the list. At the bottom of the page, you'll find a red button labeled 'Revoke Access'. Tap on it.
A confirmation message will appear asking, 'Are you sure you would like to revoke access?' Select 'OK' to proceed with revoking access.
Additional Tips & Troubleshooting
After revoking access:
- The user will no longer see the device in their Fluss app.
- Any active Siri Shortcuts, automations, or shared controls tied to that user will stop working for them.
Important: Revoking access is permanent for the current sharing session. If you want to re-share the device later, you will need to send a new invitation.
If the "Revoke Access" button is not visible or you receive an error, confirm that you are logged in as the device owner. If issues persist, try refreshing the app or checking for updates.
Security & Best Practices
- Regularly review the Users list and revoke access for anyone who no longer needs it (e.g., former residents, guests, or service providers).
- Only share devices with trusted individuals and use the pending/expired status to monitor invitation activity.
- If you suspect unauthorised access, immediately revoke all shared users and change any related account passwords.
- Enable two-factor authentication (if available) on your Fluss account for added protection.
If you run into any issues, please reach out using the contact details above.
