Common issues with a pin not arriving
Check Network connection
Follow these steps to check you network connectivity:
- Check the signal strength indicator. If less than two bars, move to an area with better reception.
- If using mobile data, confirm your plan has available balance or data remaining. Top up if needed
- Test if the internet connection is stable, you can check by simply going on to google's network diagnosis and run the speed test.
SMS delivery can be unreliable in these situations, we recommend using WhatsApp instead.
Dual-SIM phone configuration
If the phone has two SIM cards, SMS messages are delivered to whichever SIM is set as the default for messaging.
To configure this:
- Go to the phone's settings.
- Navigate to the SIM settings.
- Select the phone number that you wish to receive a verification pin message and request the code again.
Still not working? Try signing in with WhatsApp using the same number, it's usually much more reliable!
Blocked country codes
WhatsApp doesn't block or blacklist any country codes, so verification codes almost always get through reliably.
