This article explains the different access types in Fluss+ to invite users to your door, gate, or secured area. Each type controls how long someone can enter, whether they can invite others, what extra features they get, and how trusted they are considered.
Who is in charge of the gate? The Owner is the single person ultimately in charge of a Fluss+ device — there is only one Owner at a time, and whoever first claims the device automatically becomes its Owner (see how to claim a Fluss+ device). The Owner has the highest level of control: manage every user, change all settings, view logs, delete the device, manage the billing subscription, and transfer ownership to someone else. Full access users are administrators — they can manage users, settings, and invitations on the Owner’s behalf, but they are not the top authority and cannot delete the device, manage billing, or transfer ownership. To hand the gate over to a new Owner (for example, when you sell your house), the current Owner transfers ownership; see how to transfer ownership of your Fluss+ device. After a transfer, the previous Owner keeps Full Access until the new Owner removes them.| Access Type | Access Duration | Can Invite Others | Permissions | Can Revoke Access | Trust Level |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Owner | Anytime (Permanent) | Yes (Any Duration) | Full admin control: view logs, change settings, invite anyone, manage all users, delete device, or transfer ownership and manage billing subscriptions | Yes (all users) | Highest Trust |
| Full | Anytime (Permanent) | Yes (Any Duration) | Full control: view who has access, view logs, change device settings, manage invitations | Yes (except Owner) | High Trust |
| Tenant | Anytime (Permanent) | Yes (Short Duration only) | Can invite short-term guests (e.g., 15 min to 3 days, based on device rules) and view their own invitations | Yes (only their own invites) | Medium Trust |
| Always | Anytime (Permanent) | No | Only rename the device for themselves and remove themselves from access | No (only self-remove) | Medium Trust |
| Repeat | Recurring (specific days / times) | No | Only rename the device for themselves and remove themselves from access | No (only self-remove) | Medium Trust |
| Temporary | One-time (limited period) | No | Only rename the device for themselves and remove themselves from access (if still valid) | No (auto-expires or self-remove) | Low Trust |
Do invited users need the Fluss+ app? Yes. Every access type in the table above — Owner, Full, Tenant, Always, Repeat, and Temporary — works through the Fluss+ app. The person you invite installs the app, signs in with the mobile number you invited them by, and the device’s blue button appears on their home screen when they are in Bluetooth range. The only way to let someone in without the app is One-Time Access (OTE) — a single-use code a visitor enters directly on your Fluss+ Intercom. See how to send a one-time access code for your Fluss+ Intercom. When someone shares access with you, Bluetooth connection is always included by default. Wi-Fi access (for remote control from anywhere) is an optional extra that the sharer can choose to give or not.
Important: Key tip for sharers (Owners/Full/Tenant):The Fluss+ device uses two ways to connect to your phone: Bluetooth (short-range, local) and Wi-Fi (internet/remote). Here's what you need to know:
To find out what kind of access type you have been granted for a Fluss+ device, follow these steps:
Open the Fluss+ app and go to the home page.
Look at the bottom navigation bar and tap the Devices section (at the bottom left).
You will see one or more of the following tabs/categories:
Navigate to the relevant device:
Select the device by tapping its name (the custom name that was assigned to that Fluss+ device).
Once the device detail page opens, look at the top section. Under ACCESS TYPE, it will clearly display your access level (e.g., Owner, Full, Tenant, Always, Repeat, or Temporary).
This is the quickest way to check your permissions, see whether you can invite others, trigger remotely (Wi-Fi), or view logs, and understand any limitations on your access.
Tip: If the device isn’t appearing in any category, double-check that your invitation is still valid and that you’re logged in with the correct phone that your administrator has given access to you.If the device isn't appearing at all, make sure you're in range, Bluetooth is on, and check the Bluetooth Troubleshooting Guide for Fluss+ for permissions or app refresh steps.
