This guide walks you through importing users to a Fluss+ device by uploading a CSV file. Use this when you have a long list of people to give access to all at once — for example, a building's residents or a company's staff.
Note: It is recommended to use the Fluss+ website to import your users: app.fluss.io. The drag-and-drop upload is much easier on a desktop than on a phone.
Make sure you also have the appropriate access to invite users. For more info, see Access Types for Fluss+.
Save your contacts as a .csv (comma-separated values) file with the
following columns, in this order:
+27821234567).A header row is fine — the importer skips it automatically.
Note: If your file is in Excel (.xlsx) format, open it in your spreadsheet editor and save it as CSV (Comma-separated values) before uploading. In the Fluss+ web app sidebar, click Invite. This opens the invite wizard with three rows: Access, Device, and People.
Click the Access row at the top. The wizard opens to step 1 — the access type picker. Choose the role you want the imported users to have (for example, Always, Tenant, or Full Access). Click Next when you're done.
Step 2 of the wizard is the device picker. Tick one or more devices that the imported users should have access to. Click Next when you're done.
Step 3 of the wizard is the People step. You'll see two action buttons under the toolbar — New Person (manual entry, one at a time) and CSV (bulk import). Click CSV.
The CSV upload pane opens with a drop zone. Either drag and drop
your .csv file onto the drop zone, or click it to choose a file
from your computer.
Each row in your file becomes a person card in the wizard. If a phone number is invalid or duplicated, the importer skips it and shows a warning notification.
When all the people you want to invite are listed as cards, click the orange Send Invites button at the bottom of the page.
A summary sheet appears showing what was sent. The users now appear on the device's Users page with a status of either Active (if they already have a Fluss+ account on that number) or Pending (if an invitation has been sent to a number that hasn't created an account yet).
