Fluss+ shows up on your car's Android Auto screen as a list of your devices. Tap to trigger, without touching your phone.
Note: On a home screen widget, you choose Wi-Fi or Bluetooth yourself. In the car, Fluss+ chooses for you each time, depending on whether your phone is in Bluetooth range.
Start Android Auto as you normally would: plug your phone in, or let it connect wirelessly.
In the car's app launcher, tap Fluss+. The Gates screen opens and lists the devices you have access to.
The label shows how Fluss+ would reach that device right now:
| Label | What it means |
|---|---|
| Bluetooth · In range | Your phone is close enough to trigger the device directly. No internet is needed. |
| Wi-Fi | The device is online and will be triggered over the internet. |
| Out of range | The device can't be reached right now. Tapping it won't trigger anything. |
Labels update as you drive. For example, a device that shows Wi-Fi or Out of range on the way home changes to Bluetooth · In range as you get close.
Tap the device's row to trigger it. Fluss+ uses Bluetooth if you're in range. Otherwise it uses Wi-Fi, as long as the device is online and your access allows Wi-Fi triggering. The car screen shows Opening followed by the device's name.
Caution: There's no confirmation step in the car. One tap triggers the device immediately. A home screen widget, by contrast, can be set to ask for a second tap.
Tap Refresh at the top of the Gates screen. Fluss+ scans again for nearby devices and fetches the latest status of your Wi-Fi devices.
If a device is missing from the list or won't trigger, see Android Auto: why a Device is missing or won't trigger.
