Confirm before opening decides whether your Fluss+ widget needs one tap or two. With it on, the first tap arms the widget and the second sends the trigger. It is on by default.
| Setting | What happens when you tap the widget |
|---|---|
| On (default) | The first tap checks the device's current status and arms the widget. The second tap sends the trigger. |
| Off | The trigger is sent on the first tap. |
While the widget is armed it shows Tap again to confirm, or the device's status if it knows it — Open · tap again, Closed · tap again, or Offline · tap again.
Tip: Leaving this on is worth considering for anything street-facing, such as a driveway gate. A widget sits on your home screen where a stray thumb can reach it, and the second tap is what makes sure nothing opens unintentionally.
The way in differs by platform.
Touch and hold the widget, then tap Edit Widget.
Touch and hold the widget, then tap Settings. Android runs the setup as a short series of dialogs — Connection first, then Choose a gate, then the confirmation choice.
Caution: With confirming switched off, one accidental tap opens your device. Consider leaving it on for anything that controls access from a public road or a shared space.
On iPhone, tap the Confirm before opening toggle.
On Android there's no toggle — a Confirm before opening? dialog asks you to pick one:
Tap the widget once and check it behaves the way you chose.
With confirming on, the widget shows Tap again to confirm and waits. Tap it a second time to send the trigger — the widget shows Triggering…, then Trigger sent.
Important: The armed state lasts about 3 seconds. If you wait longer than that, the first tap no longer counts and the next tap arms the widget again rather than opening the device.
