Your Fluss+ device opens from the app in two ways: over Bluetooth when you are near the device, or over Wi-Fi from anywhere with an internet connection. This guide covers both.
Use Bluetooth when you are physically close to the Fluss+ device. Bluetooth triggering works fully offline — neither your phone nor the Fluss+ device needs an internet connection or mobile data to open the device this way.
Open the Fluss+ app. Each Fluss+ device you can open appears as a button on the home screen.
When your phone connects to the Fluss+ device over Bluetooth, its button turns solid blue. Tap the blue button to open the Fluss+ device immediately. A grey button means the device is not yet connected — make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone, the app has Bluetooth permission, and you are close to the device.
Important: If you tap the button and nothing happens, you may be out of Bluetooth range. The app shows an Out of range message — move closer to the Fluss+ device and try again.Use Wi-Fi to open your Fluss+ device remotely — you do not need to be in Bluetooth range. The Fluss+ device must be connected to Wi-Fi with active internet. When it is online, a circular icon appears on the left of its row on the home screen.
Press and hold the circular icon. A Slide instruction appears across the device row. The slide gesture is a safety feature that prevents the device from being triggered by an accidental tap.
Without lifting your finger, slide the circular icon across to the right of the row.
When the slide completes, a confirmation banner appears at the top of the screen showing whether the trigger was sent.
For a full walkthrough of remote triggering, see how to trigger remotely on Fluss+.
Info: When your Fluss+ device is connected to Wi-Fi, it can also be triggered through the Fluss+ API — useful for integrations and home-automation systems. You will need an API key. See how to get an API key on Fluss+.The button stays grey and will not turn blue — your phone is not connected to the Fluss+ device over Bluetooth. Check that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone, that the Fluss+ app has Bluetooth permission, and that you are within range. See the Bluetooth troubleshooting guide for Fluss+.
There is no circular icon on the device row — the Fluss+ device has no internet connection, so remote (Wi-Fi) triggering is unavailable. Trigger over Bluetooth instead, or reconnect the device to Wi-Fi. See how to connect your Fluss+ to Wi-Fi.
You see a Trigger failed message after sliding — your phone lost its internet connection. Check that your phone has active Wi-Fi or mobile data and try again.
